Jean Picks

If you don’t get the Seinfeld reference in the title you aren’t as cool as you think you are.

To the jeans!

Most of the time you are going to catch me in a pair of leggings and a t-shirt. However I have been trying to channel my inner Kourtney K and rock jeans more often.

I have been ordering and returning and ordering and loving! Here are my top THREE jean picks. For reference on sizing, I’m 5’3″,  120lbs.

GAP – Cone Denim

Size 25 Regular

Non-stretch mom jeans are my shiz right now. However,  non-stretch denim can be uncomfortable. 99% of my jeans are Gap, so when I saw the Cone Denim line I was so excited. They are 99% cotton, have the 5 botton fly (my favorite) and have plenty of washes to chose from. They give you that Levi look for half the price.

I just order a second pair today!

Fashion Nova — Got it From my Momma

Size 3

THE BEST EVER! They do have stretch, but do not look like it. They are a nice basic jean. You will have to get on their notification list because they sell fast! They look cute with a cropped tee, tucked in sweater or a basic tank!

Beware of Fashion Nova sizing. In the jeans I have always went up to a 3 and they fit great!

PS: all their jeans are great

Abercrombie and Fitch – High-Rise Girlfriend Shorts

Size 26

I have a girlfriend who swears by AF jeans.  I do not like any type of stitching on the back pockets (I know weird) so I have never order their jeans. That being said, I was on the hunt for a pair of high waisted shorts I could wear anything with and I found them HERE. They are the ANNIE High Rise Girlfriend Shorts, I got Ripped Light wash. They run a little small in my opinion, so I had to go up one size.

These are the prefect short! High waisted to keep everything in and the length is long enough but not too long. I feel like shorts these days are either to your knees or up your butt. The Annie’s are perfect!

Happy shopping!

I posted an instagram video (or 5) this morning about a tote that I absolutely fell in love with! Whether you are a mom or someone who just love to carry EVERYTHING you own…you need this bag. Being a Realtor and a Mom I have everything from diapers, to a laptop, to a pair of shoes for her in it at all time!

Its the Henri Bendel Jetsetter Zip Tote:

I bought the Jetsetter Backpack when I was pregnant with Mara. It wasn’t really big enough when she was a newborn, but it’s the perfect bag to just throw some diapers and wipes in and go. Plus it can be worn three different. What I loved the most about it was it was Nylon. Now, most people are like ‘why would you pay that much for Nylon?’. First off the details are beautiful and the quality of the bag is amazing. Trust me, I put it through hell. Its easy to clean, but still very stylish and versatile.

Therefore, when I saw they had a tote…I jumped on it. It does not disappoint. I got it in black, obviously. Its structured, so when you fill it up it doesn’t lose shape at all. Just look at everything I put in it on a daily basis.

If you need everything with you at all times. Something that is clean, classic and timeless. GO, NOW. Get this bag!

I promise, you will not be disappointed.

The Perfect T-Shirt…but really

So I have found the holy grail of t-shirts and this is no joke. Not like those t-shirts that advertise as “perfect” or “favorite” and you take it home, wash it and it is never the same. Target, of course, has 100% perfected the perfect T and I’m the proud owner of ever color, so I can vouch.

It’s the Merona Favorite Tee. It is a jersey knit that is made of 95% Rayon & 5% Spandex. I get a small. It lays perfectly and is long enough to cover your girly parts with leggings and goes great with just about anything. I’m wearing mine with a high waisted skirt today and lace up heels. It look professional, but it super comfy. the BONUS it washed perfectly. No lay flat to dry, or wash on delicate. Just wash as normal!

I usually wear it with leggings and a flannel or denim shirt, kind of my signature I think it’s called, ‘I’m a mom and too tired to wear pants’. But for real.

But if you love versatile clothing, pick this up in every color!

11.18.2015 Outfit

Today – Y’all, I’m crashing. I could literally fall asleep typing this. I’m pretty sure my pre-workout that I’ve been using is causing me to crash. Starting right now, I’m not going to use it and see if that helps!

But I still want to post what I wore today.

Blazer – H&M. I think it’s actually called a Crepe Jacket and I believe it is still available.

Shirt – Kohls. Rock & Republic. I have had it for a couple of years so it’s probably not available. It’s such an edgy piece with the faux leather pocket.

Jeans – Gap. DUH!

Shoes – Kohls. Lauren Conrad. I’ve had them since spring. I was there the other day and I didn’t see them, but you maybe able to find online.

And yes, I took this in my living room. Nothing like a ridiculously huge TV as your back drop!

Happy Fashion!

11.16.15 Outfit

I guess a blog doesn’t just have to be about my sad mommy moments or my beauty routine. I want people to be inspired to be their best self everyday.

People ask me all the time, how do you do it? I don’t really do anything, I’m just me. A hot mess! I rarely wear make-up to work, (the weekends are totally different), as you will see in the photos from today, I rarely wash my hair, (since last Wednesday to be exact). It’s not about doing it all, it’s about doing what I love. My husband and I work out, that’s something we have in common and we love it. So I workout at lunch that way I can be with our daughter after work. I love make-up and high heels, that’s why I wear them. I like to write, that’s how I find time to blog. It’s as simple as that.

I am going to start posting my outfits. I get a lot of my ideas from Pinterest, so maybe I will inspire others with my style.

This morning was hectic. We had to get our daughter to the doctor by 8am, we woke up at 7am…

Starting at the top:

My glasses are REAL! People ask me that all the time. Yes, I need glasses to see the computer and no I don’t wear them all the time. They are just 20 dollar frames from Walmart. No brand needed.

Leather Jacket: Old Navy. I have probably had it for 3 years, I just got into the leather jacket thing recently. Adds a certain edge to your outfit.

Shirt: Gap Maternity. Yes, maternity. It was my favorite when I was pregnant and I still wear it all the time.

Scarf: Zara. I just recently got it, so it’s probably still available. It’s HUGE! I had to take it off at my desk.

Jeans: Gap. I LOVE gap denim. You can get it dirt cheap when the do 50% off clearance. I’ve had this pair for a couple of years now. They are the brightest blue ever.

Shoes: Michael Kors. I’ve had them for a year or two and they have held up nicely.

This last picture I changed the flats for heeled booties. I just got them at Kohls and I think they add a totally different look to the outfit.

Told you I didn’t wear makeup!

Happy fashion!
