Nighty Night

I’m BACK! I have been trying out some new night time routines. My skin is oily, but if I don’t moisturize and take care of it at night, it gets VERY dry and dull.

I still take my make-up off with Coconut Oil. However, if you have lash extensions like me, try to avoid the getting the oil on the lashes. I usually just run my finger tips over my lids and then take a damp wash cloth to wipe away. AVOID the LASHES. The oil can break down the glue and cause premature shedding.

The Ordinary – Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%

I read a lot a reviews before purchasing and wasn’t all about it, but wasn’t against trying it. However this brand is very inexpensive so I went for it. First impression, it is grainy. I expected that due to reviews, but it didn’t seem to go away for me. If you have sensitive skin do not get this! It tingles, which I enjoy, but is not good for overly sensitive skin.  After waking up, I didn’t see a noticeable difference. I will keep using it however since I have it and its only 1 oz. Will not purchase again.

Estee Lauder – Advanced Night Repair

This serum claims to be the holy grail of all night serums. Since it’s on the more expensive side I ordered the .25 oz which is $16. Still pricey for a sample, but better than purchasing a whole bottle and not liking it. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and have not seen any noticeable difference. For me, its not worth the money.

Side note: I saw a lot of people going back and forth between this and Lancome Genefique. I have personally used Genefique and in my opinion it’s much better. I’m not saying don’t try it Estee Lauder. It works for a lot of people, just not me.

SeneGence – Climate Control

SUPER SKEPTICAL. As I was with their LipSense, which we all know turned out to be AMAZING! I had a friend of mine order some samples for me to try. I have been putting it over the Estee Lauder and under my night cream. It is more of a gel which I really like. I woke up the first morning with a noticeable difference in texture! My face feels smoother and more supple. I have not tried it in the morning under make-up yet because I really like my morning routine right now. I would recommend trying this ASAP!

Olay – Regenerist Night Recovery Cream

Even though I do a lot of layering of products, I still like to put a cream over top of everything just to seal it in. I purchased this cream about a month ago and I would say 5 stars! It gives you moisture, but doesn’t feel extremely greasy or heavy. When I put it on, it has a velvety texture. If you are looking for a really good basic night cream, this is the one!

Eyes – Shea Butter

I have been using this for a long time and don’t expect to change! Just stay clear of the lashes! I also put it on my hands and feet before bed every night!

I posted an instagram video (or 5) this morning about a tote that I absolutely fell in love with! Whether you are a mom or someone who just love to carry EVERYTHING you own…you need this bag. Being a Realtor and a Mom I have everything from diapers, to a laptop, to a pair of shoes for her in it at all time!

Its the Henri Bendel Jetsetter Zip Tote:

I bought the Jetsetter Backpack when I was pregnant with Mara. It wasn’t really big enough when she was a newborn, but it’s the perfect bag to just throw some diapers and wipes in and go. Plus it can be worn three different. What I loved the most about it was it was Nylon. Now, most people are like ‘why would you pay that much for Nylon?’. First off the details are beautiful and the quality of the bag is amazing. Trust me, I put it through hell. Its easy to clean, but still very stylish and versatile.

Therefore, when I saw they had a tote…I jumped on it. It does not disappoint. I got it in black, obviously. Its structured, so when you fill it up it doesn’t lose shape at all. Just look at everything I put in it on a daily basis.

If you need everything with you at all times. Something that is clean, classic and timeless. GO, NOW. Get this bag!

I promise, you will not be disappointed.

My last 6 months…

Being a Mom, a Wife and a Realtor has shown its challenges this past 6 months. I made myself a promise after my last video to stay more consistent on my blog. I love writing and making videos, but at the end of the day I want to crash.

So lets do an update! In the last 6 months we were cleared to have a baby…sorry folks. Not pregnant yet, but soon I hope. With Mara being a surprise, Mark and I have never been through the process of “trying”. It’s not all that fun. Timing is everything and I’ve always been bad at timing. However, whatever happens, happens. I want to be relaxed about the whole process. –Most likely won’t happen

Real Estate is moving and grooving. I have never been so happy in a job. My clients, my brokers and my fellow realtors are so amazing. It makes being away from Mara a little bit easier.

For me, staying focused through the holiday and continuing to juggle everything is my main goal right now! As a mom, my mind is on over drive all of the time.

Its is almost 2018. I have so many goals, but my top 3, in no particular order.

-Have a baby.

-Sell more homes than I did last year.

-Keep my family safe and healthy!

I will be posting a lot more in 2018, hopefully.

Natural Makeup & Mom Talk!

Hey! I just wanted to show you how I do my 5 minute routine in the morning. Also, I talk about what it means for me to be a working mom and how I manage!

NO BOYS ALLOWED – Seriously

This post contains a lot of TMI – read at your own risk.

It has been so long since I have sat down and wrote. Between working and Mommin’ I am BUSY! But honestly, who isn’t.

In the past couple of months, I have changed a few things around in the female department. Some were to benefit my schedule, others were to benefit my health.

First things first. I got waxed. I have been wearing high cut swim suits and we all know you can’t shave everyday. So I took the plunge. The result – I’m OBSESSED. One, I don’t have to worry about what swim suit to wear. Two, no red bumps, no razor burn. Three – I look good! I clean up my bikini line usually, but that’s it. I feel very liberated when I’m rocking the 70’s vibe. However, I must say being alot more groomed is growing on me! I think I’ll have a summer look and winter look. I am now going to start waxing my underarms. Not having to think about shaving, although it seems minor, it does work for my stress level. Just because I’m a Mom doesn’t mean I don’t want to keep myself together.

Next, I did something I have wanted to do for a long time. After researching A LOT I have switched to a menstrual cup. If you’ve never heard of it, google it. Most others thought I was crazy, but I really do love it. Since having Mara I have been using a pad more, just because I hate the thought of it “sitting” up there in a giant cotton ball full of chemicals. So I switched and I have no regrets. It takes some getting used to just like with anything, but now I’m chemical free and much happier! I also bought a couple pair of THINX (look it up) and trust me..they work!

I know I’m not being very modest here, but I think this is a conversation all women should have.  These things don’t come up in normal conversation, so I think it’s good to share what my personal experiences are.

The last thing I did…I stopped wearing a bra. I know, I know. For some this isn’t an option and it probably shouldn’t be for me considering they aren’t what they used to be. However, I bought some silicon nipple covers and I am FREE! Some shirts I still do wear a bra with (T-shirts mainly or working out) but most of my dresses, loose tanks, and some sweaters I’m totally free. It makes me feel amazing. It took me a few weeks to get used too. I would wear jackets or cross my arms in a store, but now it feels totally normal to me. If anyone is wondering, I’m a 32 D. Before I was pregnant I was 34 D, while pregnant 34 DD. So if you don’t think it’s possible, just try it! There are alot of articles out there about breast health. I find there are mixed messages. But not only is it comfortable for me, I feel like I’m doing right by them.

Ok, I think I’ve given WAY to much information about my girly side. I just want other women to know there are other ways to be a girl. I mean we already deal with so much, why not make some of it a little easier!

I may seem like a hippie, but I feel like a lioness!

As always I’ll answer questions and please DO your research before making any changes to you feminine routine!
